I am a Port & Terminal Operator

I am Port & Terminal Operator

Q:    Our existing terminal operations are dedicated to bulks and break-bulk general cargo. We want to get into projects, with both the cargo owning side and the shipowning side. Considering our location and the potential client-base, from which direction should we approach this and how should we set out our stall to the market?

Q:    As a terminal operator we are constantly looking at upgrading our equipment and service levels to our port users. At the moment we are thinking about investing in heavy cranes, either shore-based or floating. But, with the market for geared heavylift ships seeming to grow every year, if we invest in our own gear will it quickly become redundant? Is there a sound business-case for heavy port gear working with gearless ships in both the existing trade in our location and in new trade we can develop with our new capability?

A:    C Partners provides deep analysis, advice and solutions for these challenges, and your challenges.
